Meet Miss Lisa

Miss Lisa

Miss Lisa is a parent, a grandparent, and a lifelong educator whose passion for children runs deep — both personally and professionally.

With decades of experience in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Behavioural Interventionism, Miss Lisa began her journey with 5 years in home daycare before becoming a Preschool Teacher — building a rich, hands-on foundation that shapes everything she creates today. She has spent close to two decades running classrooms, working with both typical and neurodivergent children and adults, supporting a wide range of learning styles, emotional needs, and developmental journeys.

She has taught and supervised practicum students, mentoring the next generation of educators, and has developed curriculum for children ages 3–5 — including Junior Kindergarten and Private Kindergarten programs — all aligned with British Columbia, Canada School District Guidelines.

Miss Lisa is deeply rooted in educational theory, with a particular love for Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences. Gardner believed — and Miss Lisa wholeheartedly agrees — that every child is smart in their own unique way. Every child is an artist. We just need to help bring that out in them. ✨

Miss Lisa leads and teaches with heart, understanding, and curiosity, always asking: How can we help this child unlock their full potential?

The Heart Behind Peppy's Universe

In every setting, with every child, Miss Lisa saw the same truth: children don't misbehave. They communicate. Every outburst, every tear, every refusal, and every meltdown is a child trying to tell us something they don't yet have the words to say.

That's why she created Peppy.

Peppy's Universe exists to help parents understand and support their children's emotional development and self-management — and to give children a warm, familiar friend who helps them discover their own ability to manage their thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Because every child deserves to know they can be the manager of their own world.

The Peppy Method

Through recognizing patterns, prepping, and preloading, we are teaching children how to become Managers of their own thoughts, feelings, and actions today — so they are better equipped to navigate how they think, feel, and act, and how they interact with the world around them.

Children are the next generation of thought leaders. It is so important that we teach children how to think — because in doing so, we are helping them build skills that will last a lifetime. Skills that help them become capable and resourceful while manoeuvring in an ever-changing, fast-paced world.

Through this process, they come to trust themselves.

With love and light,
Miss Lisa & Peppy 💜
